related legislation.

                     HOUSE OPPORTUNITIES SUBCOMMITTEES

Overall jurisdiction for library- and education-related legislation,
authorizations, etc., is in the House Committee on Economic and Educational
Opportunities now called "Opportunities."

The Opportunities subcommittee responsible for the Elementary and Secondary
Education Act as well as many other education, family literacy, and youth
programs is the Subcommittee on Early Childhood, Youth, and Families.
