               FY1995 RESCISSIONS - ALAWON REPORT CORRECTED
 
Thanks to an alert ALAWON reader, we are running a correction on the FY95
rescission amounts proposed by House appropriations subcommittees.  We
erroneously indicated in ALAWON, #15 of February 24 that all but $5 million
each of current funding for the National Endowment for the Arts and the
National Endowment for the Humanities had been proposed to be cut.
Actually, the subcommittee proposed a cut of $5 million each for NEA and
NEH.
 
In collecting information from several House subcommittees, reported in
varying formats, we erred as we quickly put it all together in one article.
Prompt reporting increases the possibility of occasional error, but our
math is better than this error would indicate.  Our apologies to our
readers and to the Endowments.
